When I was diagnosed with a terminal medical condition, I was really nervous about spending so much time in the hospital. Unfortunately, my doctors explained that hospital stays were inevitable, unless I was alright with participating in home health care. I was nervous about the idea of having doctors and nurses come to my home, but after I started home health care, I quickly realized its benefits. In addition to being able to spend more time with my kids, my doctors got to know me a little better--which improved my care.
